Excellent Condition 1944 Vintage Cameo Brooch

This vintage Cameo depicts a Roman warrior hand carved in high relief. He wears a helmet of finely carved grapes and leaves in high profile. It is a top quality piece with no damage. The gold frame is 14ct with rope twist highlights and it has a strong pin, catch and a safety chain. To add to the providence is a sweet note engraved to ‘Dulcie from John Christmas 1944’. It is really a very precious item to have and to hold. I would have to say that this is one of my favourite cameos.

The piece comes with an independent valuation certificate with a Retail Replacement Value of $1,280. It is a good size, measuring approximately 47mm x 42mm and weighing 14.18 grams.
