A beautiful vintage Mikimoto Akoya pearl necklace, presented in its original fitted Mikimoto musical case!

Founded by Kokichi Mikimoto, the pioneer who perfected cultured pearls, Mikimoto remains one of the most respected names in the world of fine pearls, synonymous with exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

This elegant strand measures approximately 55cm in length and is composed of well-matched pearls averaging around 7mm in diameter. The pearls display the soft lustre and uniformity for which Mikimoto is renowned, making the necklace a timeless and versatile addition to any jewellery collection.

The necklace is finished with a hallmarked sterling silver clasp, complementing the classic simplicity of the design. Accompanying the necklace is its original Mikimoto presentation case, featuring a charming music-box mechanism, a desirable feature for collectors of vintage Mikimoto jewellery. Unfortunately 1 leg is missing and one is detached. The box originally housed a suite of pearls, but only the necklace is now present.
