A superb pair of vintage porcelain cufflinks by Toshikane, one of Japan's most respected and collectible porcelain artisans. Established in Kyoto in the early 20th century, Toshikane became internationally renowned for producing exquisitely detailed hand-painted porcelain jewellery and accessories that celebrated Japan's cultural heritage, traditions, and natural beauty.

These cufflinks feature a beautifully rendered image of Mount Fuji, Japan's most iconic and sacred mountain, surrounded by delicate cherry blossoms (sakura). For many Japanese people, Mount Fuji represents endurance, harmony, and spiritual significance, while cherry blossoms symbolise the fleeting beauty of life and the changing seasons. Together, these motifs capture the essence of Japanese aesthetics and philosophy.

The cufflinks measure approximately 2.5cms x 1.8cms and are stamped ‘Toshikane Japan’ with some japanese characters (see photos).
